The Mainboard
Hello,
I'm going to tell you something more about the mainboard also known as the motherboard or the headboard.
All important computercomponents such as the processor, the internal memory,... are connected on this mainboard.
The mainboard connects the following components with your computer:
- The processor through a socket.
- The memory through a memory socket.
- Components on the mainboard through busses.
- With the plug through slots.
- The components through cables.
The connections sometimes need to be setup through special software or in different situations through jumpers on the mainboard.
So it is necessairy when you buy a new computer that you decide wich mainboard you want to use.
This will make everything a lot easier.
